Why Invest in the Human Element in Cybersecurity?
(ISC)2 Managing Director for North America Dan Waddell offers 10 reasons why the human element is a high-return, low-risk investment.
The Safe and Secure Online Patch Program, created by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education in partnership with the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, is offered to teach and empower Girl Scouts of all ages to remain safe, protect their identity, and respect themselves and others while online. The Cyber Safety Patch Program tackles everyday issues girls can relate to, such as privacy, the dangers of posting online, netiquette, and cyberbullying.
Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes will have interactive lessons that will keep their attention and teach basic internet safety practices with Garfield’s Cyber Safety Adventures. Special training for troop leaders is not required because the Educator’s Kit includes step-by-step instructions to conduct the lesson. Each lesson can be completed in 20-30 minutes, for about $2.16 each.
Senior and Ambassador Scouts will use their experience and leadership to teach the younger girls by hosting a Garfield Cyber Safety Adventure class or Senior Citizens Safe and Secure Online class.
